Labor Day Family Fun Fest

On Labor Day our stake had a Family Fun Fest and we had a blast. Some people in our ward own a carnival company so they set up rides, jump houses, slides and a climbing wall. They gave out hotdogs, shaved ice and cotton candy. It was a very hot and sticky day but we still played hard.

Those rides at the ward party look really fun - but did anyone throw up? I used to love going on all the rides until one day - my stomach said STOP!

Garret - I need to learn to climb like that so I can go on rock climbing hikes with you. Can you teach me how?

Oh, Garret - I forgot to tell you that the climbing genes definitely came from your father and your uncle Kenny. Did they ever tell you the story about when they climbed to the golden arches on top of McDonalds when Mike was 5 and Kenny was 4 one day in Kearns? Your dad also climbed to the top of Johnson's arch in Snow Canyon and jumped up and down on it when he was a cub scout. I just about had a heart attack!
