On the 12th day of Christmas our daddy gave to us-- a trip to the Dr. for our shots!
Today Mike took the entire family into the Dr. to get our China immunizations. NOT FUN!! Mike and the boys only had to get one however, I needed 7. Luckily they only gave me 4 today. This is NOT what the boys and I had asked Santa for. Thanks a bunch Dad.

Grandma's Stockings
My Mom has cross stitched a beautiful stocking for every member of our entire family and with each new addition (in-law or grandchild) comes a new stocking on the fireplace. Most of these stockings take her an entire year to complete because they are very detailed and stitched perfectly. My kids love to see their stocking hanging over grandma's fire place. This is such a fun tradition. You are amazing Mom, love you.

The Wright Brothers vs. The Smith Brothers
While in Outer Banks for Thanksgiving we visited the Wright Brothers Monument. It was great! This is the place that the Wright Bros practiced their flying and tried out their gliders. This is where the very first man flew. It was really very cool to see this place and we were reminded how amazing it is that we can now fly around in huge airplanes. AMAZING!! It also got us thinking that maybe someday the amazing SMITH BROS and their curiosity will come up with something that will change the world forever.

Thanksgiving in Outer Banks, NC
Our family spent Thanksgiving in Outer Banks, NC with 5 other families from our ward. WE HAD A BLAST!!!! The beach house was huge, the food was great and the company was even better. We spent our time collecting sea shells and horse shoe crab shells down on the beach, sitting in the hot tub and playing games. Thanksgiving dinner was very yummy, our family (AKA me) cooked the turkey. We are so glad that we went and we will not forget our wonderful trip with our wonderful friends.

Everyday life...
What's Happen'n.....
We have been busy enjoying what is left of the nice weather here in Virginia so we have been up to North Beach (Chesapeake Bay) a few times. We love getting back to the beach and the kids love catching jelly fish and horseshoe crabs (deads ones). This is a picture of Garret playing on the playground there at the beach. Zach is now 3 months old. WOW! He is so smiley and so sweet. The other day he got his hands on a fruit snack wrapper and he was so fasinated with it because it was shiney and made a crinkly sound. He is such a good baby and rarely cries. Heaven knew that I needed a mellow child and blessed me with one. I can't wait to take him to Utah this week and introduce him to everyone.

What we've been up to...
Zachy is 2 months and has been busy learning to hold up his head and smile.
It is so hard to get a picture of him smiling but here is one effort. Cute!!! Cute!!!!
Garret started gymnastics and he is loving it. Trent started soccer but I don't have any pictures yet.
Zachy has become my jogging buddy.
Keep scrolling down, there's more to see...

Here's what we've been up to...continued
We have had lots of rain. Our river flooded and it was really something to see. I am sure we will see more of this before winter comes.
Mike has wanted to catch a squirrel forever and finally he did it. This squirrel was so mad and if it wasn't for the net it would have ripped Mike to pieces.
The boys have been helping me take care of Zachy while Mike has been away at training. They are great helpers.
The boys have been playing with Uncle Kenny, Bailey and Corbin down at their new house. They found a couple of turtles. This one was dead but of course they wanted to keep it. It began to swell out of it's shell and stunk stunk, so he had to go to garbage can heaven.

Two Weeks Old
Zachy is now 2 weeks old. I can't believe how fast that time went. He is an excellent baby. He rarely cries, he sleeps great in the night and overall he is a very mellow baby. I am sure that it is because Heaven knew that we needed a calm little guy to help balance our two wild ones. We love you little Zachy!

Back to the Ocean (Sort of)
Before Mike's parent went home we all went to Baltimore to visit the National Aquarium. It was really fun. We were there for almost 5 hours and Trent and Garret had a great time looking at all the different exhibits. They have caught many of the fish they saw in real life so they thought that was great and reminded us all of Hawaii. Thanks Kirk and Joan for taking us.

Gettysburg
Last week we went with Mike's parents to Gettysburg. It was really amazing to look out over the field and reflect on all those men that fought and died there. It was also very neat to drive around and see how all the different groups of the armies were set up and where all the major action happened. This was a very humbling trip and I am so glad that we braved it with the new baby.

Meet Zachary Kevin Smith born July 31st @ 12:27am
Can you believe it, he is finally here!!!!! It was a pretty crazy delivery but an excellent finale to a long pregnancy. I went to my Dr.s appointment at 9:30am Wed, morning and they said I was still just barely a three dial. So they sent me home and said come back next week. My labor started about 11:00am and stayed strong all day so at 9:30pm we went to labor and delivery hoping to be admitted. No such luck, as soon as they laid me down the contractions stopped and I was still only between 3-4 dial. They told me that I wasn't ready and that I should just come back in two hours and maybe something would change. WELL, something changed. Just two hours later at 11:30pm my contractions were CRAZY. As Mike was trying to get me in the car to return to the hospital (a 20 min drive) I felt the pressure of the babies head coming and I fell to the road. The baby was coming so Mike called an ambulance as I screamed in pain, on my hands and knees in the road in the middle of the night. The paramedics took me to a closer hospital because I was running out of time and as soon as we were in the delivery room they had me start pushing. I was scared to death of delivering without an epideral but I did it and now we have a beautiful little boy. He was 7.3 oz and 19 inches long. He has been very quiet and of course his two big brothers can't get enough of him. Welcome to our family little Zachy!!!
