Cherry Blossom Festival

Last weekend began the annual Cherry Blossom Festival here in the D.C. area and we along with thousands of other people made our way down to the National Mall area to view the amazing spectacle. In 1912 Japan gave 3000 Japanese cherry trees to the United Sates as a token of friendship. The trees have been planted around Tidal Basin (near the Jefferson Monument.) The celebration takes place when the cherry blossoms are in peak bloom (about 2 weeks.) It was very beautiful to see the millions of soft pink blooms. It looked like a pink snow had fallen over D.C. We had Mike's brother Kenny with us and we all had a good time.

Spring is on it's way

Finally we all got rid of the flu and some warm weather came our way. After two weeks of quarantine in our home, we made our way to the lake. Garret loves to feed the geese out of his hand and Trent found this amazing leaf that I could see his beautiful eye through. These boys are awesome.

Baby PHAT!!!!!

So many of you have asked to see me with a tummy so here you go. This is me and baby at 20 weeks. PS- My arm looks out of proportion to the rest of me because it is close to the camera. I don't have elephant-itis.

Welcome Home!!!

Welcome to our home. We found this townhouse in a quiet little neighborhood in Alexandria. It is one block to a river and jogging path which of course, our boys love. Ours is the end house with the big trees so hopefully in the spring we will have lots of green. We really like our home and are so glad to be out of hotels and junky military housing. Come on out and see us!!!
