This week we celebrated Veterans Day and there is no better time to honor those who have served or are now serving for our country. To all our friends who have just returned from Iraq, thank you and we are so glad to have you back. To those who are still there, God Speed. We think of you often. Be safe!!! And finally to our own soldier, Mike, thank you so much for the sacrifices and hard work you do everyday to provide a better future for our family and our country. We love you so much and are always happy to follow you where ever the army may take you. We love you daddy! (Picture is of Trent's Veterans Day Parade)

Sometimes we forget about all those who are sacrificing for us. Thanks Mike for all you do. And thanks Bri, for supporting Mike - you are a great sport about all the changes.
I got a little teary-eyed reading about the ward singing to you on Sunday. I remember the week we were there with you in church and they sang to someone who was leaving. It was very touching. And I know the ward especially loves the Mike, Bri, Trent and Garret Smith family. I'm sure they'll never have quite as fun ward parties without you. I know you've loved Hawaii and will miss the people and the ocean!
